So, On the Rivet is running into its 5th year and we're hoping to jump onto this whole social media hoopla by upping our facespace persona, becoming twits with tweets, and bringing the blog back from the dead. I could tell you all to go follow us on twitter, like us on Facebook, comment on all of the things we do but that's really not our style...
We'd prefer to just blog as much info/fun stuff/edumatainment/reviews/etc. as we can and you can make the choice to read it or not. We know Reddit takes up a lot of time and those kitten pictures really are cute as, well, kittens... so we're not going to be pushy. Those things have claws.
What we want to do is get you as nerded out in bike gear to make your ride the best ever while still keeping you as stylish as possible. We've noticed that some companies have caught onto the idea of cycling fashion that no longer entails lycra lycra lycra... Now you can cycle in things that you can wear to the office, to a friend's 50th birthday party, to the bar. Shirts with seamless shoulders and covered buttons so your bag doesn't irritate and catch! Knickers that move and stretch with your speedy legs! Bags that don't flop about when you're racing buses up Broadway. Helmets that help to make it less like a bucket on your head and more like stylish accessories (or at least that's what you'll keep telling yourself)!
